Trelawney Social Club is looking for volunteers to be involved with our club and we welcome people from all walks of life, you just need to be reliable and passionate about providing great experiences for people with disabilities. Volunteering is a great way to get involved and learn new skills. We have a range of opportunities within our daytime and evening clubs and would like to hear from any service users or members of the public who are keen to help. All volunteers will receive training and support and receive a certificate of achievement.
Receptionist – you will be greeting people, making sure they sign in and dealing with entrance fees, so we are looking for great customer skills.
Customer care – this special job involves making sure everyone is having a good night, so it might be anything from keeping tables clean to leading the actions to the Hokey Cokey or The Birdy Song!
DJ’s – we need music lovers to help with the disco set up, playing tunes and packing up at the end of the session. We will provide all the training you need for this fun role.
Bingo callers – If you can shout out the numbers loud and clear then you may be suitable for this role. Very basic number reading skills necessary.
Tuck shop assistants – If you fancy being behind the shop counter and have great customer service skills then you would love this. Involves handling money.
Teas and coffees – If you can make a decent cuppa then we would love to hear from you for this very important job of keeping everyone refreshed!
