Trelawney social club has been running for over 30 years and provides a social meeting place for adults with learning or physical disabilities. We strongly believe that adults with disabilities should have the same opportunities to socialise like everyone else. The club offers a safe, welcoming environment with a disco room and chill out room where people can meet and make new friends. We provide a range of entertainment in a relaxed setting that includes a disco, karaoke, tuck-shop, bingo and games. Whether you want to participate or just sit and relax, we would love to see you at the club.
New members are always welcome and we ask that parents/carers stay with them if they require support to enjoy the club.
Club activities include –
Disco and karaoke
Our fabulous DJ’s Wayne and Chris provide us with a wide variety of music to suit all tastes. Lots of our members enjoy the sensory experience of the music and lights, freestyle singing and dancing is encouraged!
Our bingo sessions usually start around 8.10pm in the chill out room. There is no cost to join in and if you’re very lucky you could win a prize from the tuck shop!
We have a range of table top games such as snakes and ladders, cards and dominoes to play with and there is always colouring pages for those who would like some art therapy! Our games are a popular choice with those who like to keep busy and aid in social skills and interaction.
We try to provide a range of products for all, so by popular demand our tuck-shop includes crisps, chocolate, sweets, popcorn and cans of fizzy drinks including diet. We also provide teas, coffee (including decaffeinated), hot chocolate, sweeteners and no added sugar squash. We will always provide fresh fruit for a healthy alternative snack.
